It’s been a wonderful change, and I have Steve and his training to thank for it.” Following a really bad car accident that affected my back, I had a really hard time becoming active again. I was incredibly nervous about re-injuring myself, and had tried a number of different adult workout options, trying to find the right one. Around 7 months ago I came across the "Strength and Conditioning" class offered by Steve Mitchell at Momentum Ninja Gym. I really appreciated that he offered a trial, so that I could test it out and see if it was what I was looking for. Steve also did an assessment of my mobility for a few of the movements that the class could require. I started coming once, maybe twice a week for the first little bit, and I eased into exercising again slowly. Now I usually come for every class that's offered during the week, and on days it isn't, I'll sometimes do a few of the stretches or easier activities at home. Steve's classes are always changing, which means you aren't doing the same 3 exercises over and over like you would at the gym by yourself, and with other people in the class it makes for a really open and welcoming environment, for anyone who wants to get active. He offers variations and adjustments if something is too hard (or too easy), and gives you alternatives if you have an injury or something just doesn't feel right for your body. I absolutely love these classes and I am so glad I came across them as an option when searching for adult workout options all those months ago. There's been a huge improvement in my mood and energy, and I WANT to go to the gym each day now. It's been a wonderful change, and I have Steve and his training to thank for it.

"Whether you’re just starting to work out or you’ve been working out for a while, Steve’s classes are fun, casual and just so good to just get the body moving!" It’s been so great to compliment my ninja training with Steve’s workouts! They are a great balance between cardio and strength & conditioning.  He’s always rotating the different exercises which is nice to have variety and I love that there are different progressions for each exercise so you can push yourself at your own speed and ability.  Whether you’re just starting to work out or you’ve been working out for a while, Steve’s classes are fun, casual and just so good to just get the body moving!
